Use the Niche dosing cup with your Timemore 078/078S.
(If the 064 cup is also 100mm tall, it is compatible)
The Niche dosing cup is very well designed. It has a ridge to keep it sitting nicely on the portafilter, it has thin walls to give a nice bed to work with, and the V2 has fully smooth insides to reduce stuck grounds. The V2 Niche cup can be ordered here.
When I swapped to using the Timemore cup, I noticed that due to how thick the cup's walls are, the same dose of coffee would sit higher than when I used the Niche cup, making it a bit harder to WDT without losing grounds outside the portafilter. However, simply using the Niche cup directly placed the opening much lower than the outlet of the grinder, making the grinds much messier. It also had no magnet.
This adapter uses a vacuum fit to nest the Niche dosing cup inside, and can have up to 3 magnets (12x3mm) for centering strength on the grinder.
Note: The V1 dosing cup is single walled with a ridge inside. The V2 dosing cup is double walled with a smooth ridgeless interior. They do NOT have the same exterior dimensions so make sure you order the right version adapter! You'll be responsible for cross-shipping fees for selecting the wrong adapter style.
